JoAnn Holiday Decor Haul

See the great holiday decor items I picked up at JoAnn!

I went to JoAnn yesterday and discovered the Doorbuster Sale, which was 70 percent off of all Holiday Decor. I picked up some holiday mugs I was eyeing up the last time I was there. I want to get a coffee cup Tree for my coffee bar (anyone know where I can find a reasonably priced farmhouse style one?). I also picked up some other awesome items. Check out my JoAnn Holiday Decor Haul.

I do believe they are still having a 60 percent off Holiday Decor sale through November 26, so if there is something you “need” from JoAnn, there is still time to go grab it at a great price! Also, you never know what great Black Friday prices they will have. 👍🏻👍🏻

I found some fun things at Habitat for Humanity. I plan to redo some of the items, and keep one as is. My cousin, Lisa, also gave me a cute little bench that I plan to repaint (Thank you, Lisa!) I was thinking a buffalo check top, what do you think? Let me know in the comments.

I love going to Thrift Stores, you never know what fun things you can find!

Ninja Foodi Crisp and Juicy Whole Chicken

Watch me prepare my first Ninja recipe, a delectable whole chicken, using the Ninja Foodi.

My new Ninja Foodi passed the water test and I was ready to try a new recipe. I bought a roaster chicken at Acme for 75 cents a pound and wanted a whole chicken to be what I tried first. I saw a chicken showcased during the QVC demonstration on TV and was excited to try making one myself.

Since I’m a new Ninja Foodi user, I decided it would better for me to try one of the recipes in the Ninja Foodi recipe booklet that was provided. I made the TenderCrisp 101 Herb Roasted Chicken.

TenderCrisp 101 Herb Roasted Chicken from the Ninja Foodi Recipe Book

Ingredients

  • 1 whole fresh (not frozen) uncooked chicken (6 to 7 pounds) (mine was 7.6 pounds)
  • Juice of 2 lemons (1/4 cup of juice)
  • 1/4 cup hot water
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons, plus 2 teaspoons kosher salt, divided
  • 1 tablespoon whole black peppercorns (I used ground fresh black pepper)
  • 5 springs fresh thyme
  • 5 cloves garlic, peeled, smashed
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil (I used olive oil)
  • 2 teaspoons ground black pepper, or taste
  • I also sprinkled on some smoked paprika for color

Directions

Remove packet of giblets, if included in the cavity of the chicken. Pat chicken dry (in the video I say rinse the chicken, however, since the making of the video, there are new guidelines that say it is not necessary to rinse chicken) and tie legs together with cooking twine.

In a small bowl, mix together lemon juice, hot water, honey, and 2 tablespoons salt. Pour mixture into the pot. Please whole peppercorns, time, and garlic in the pot.

Please chicken into the Cook and Crisp basket and place basket in pot.

Assemble pressure lid, making sure the pressure release valve is in the seal position. Select pressure and set to high (Hi). Set time to 40 minutes. Select start/stop to begin.

When pressure cooking is complete, quick release the pressure by moving the pressure release valve to the vent position. Carefully remove lid when unit has finished releasing pressure.

Brush chicken with canola oil or spray with cooking spray. Season with salt and pepper. (I also sprinkled mine with smoked paprika.)

Close crisping lid. Select Air Crisp, set temperature to 400°F, and set time to 15 minutes. Select start/stop to begin. Cook until desired level of crispness is reached.

Cooking is complete when internal temperature reaches 165°F. Remove chicken from basket. I used a roaster fork and tongs to do this. Let rest 10 Minutes before serving.

Since this post, I have made another chicken for guests flavored with garlic, soy sauce, and fresh orange juice. Both chickens turned out juicy inside and crisp on the outside! So far I’m amazed with this machine. I have some drumsticks in my freezer that I plan to make from frozen and put some BBQ sauce on to crisp up with the air crisp feature.

Ninja Foodi Unboxing and Water Test

Unbox the Ninja Foodi with me and see how I put the Ninja Foodi through the water test.

I purchased an 8 quart Ninja Foodi from QVC. I currently have an air fryer that I use on a daily basis, as well as an Instant Pot. However, I was impressed with the capacity of an 8 quart, I have a family of 5 to cook for. After watching QVC’s presentation, I was also impressed when they pressure cooked a chicken in the Foodi, and then crisped and browned it using the Air Crisp Technology.

I was happy when the box arrived at my house and excited to try it! I thought it would be fun to unbox it to show you what was inside.

The Most Delicious, Easy, Homemade Sticky Buns

Bake up some sweet, yummy, homemade sticky buns for your family and friends for your next brunch.

My family LOVED these sticky buns. As a Mom, I loved that all I had to do was a little prep work the night before, throw the sticky buns in the oven in the morning, and 25 minutes later, Voila! You and your family will have some delicious, homemade, warm sticky buns to enjoy!

These would be terrific for Thanksgiving morning while you are prepping dinner. Or for Christmas morning while you and your family are unwrapping presents!

Here’s how you make them:

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup raisins (and nuts, if you like them)
  • 1/2 or 3/4 cup of brown sugar (I used 3/4 cup, next time I will try a 1/2 cup.)
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 package of Jello Cook and Serve Pudding (You can use Vanilla, Butterscotch, or French Vanilla flavors.)
  • 1 package of 18 count Rhodes Yeast Dinner Rolls (my package was a 36 count of rolls, I used half of the package.)
  • Cinnamon
  • Butter Flavored Cooking Spray to grease the Bundt Pan (Or use plain Cooking Spray, or butter, or Crisco to coat the pan.)

Instructions:

Use a Bundt pan, generously coat your pan with the Butter Flavored Cooking Spray.

Put the raisins and/or nuts in the bottom of the pan. Let the rolls soften a little and cut them in half. Roll each roll in cinnamon and place them around your Bundt pan.

Sprinkle the Jello Cook and Serve Vanilla Pudding over the cinnamon rolls.

Then sprinkle the brown sugar over the rolls as well.

Drizzle the melted butter over the top.

Cover with a clean kitchen towel and let sit overnight. Bake at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes.

Flip the sticky buns out of the pan as soon as you take them out of the oven, do not let them cool in the pan, or they will stick in there! Flip them out onto a serving platter that has a lip because the sticky buns can be messy. Be super careful flipping them onto the serving platter, use good oven mitts, the pan and the sticky sugar are hot!

Please let me know if you try this recipe! Thanks for joining me, please feel free to Like, Follow, Comment, and Share! Please see my How-to video to see how I make these yummy sticky buns below. Also, I would love for you to Subscribe to my YouTube Channel!
